The Cust School Board of Trustees is responsible for the governance of the school – which means setting general policy, aims, and targets; monitoring progress, and allocating resources to allow our staff to get the job done. Its not the board’s job to be involved in the day to day running of the school, but to provide overall direction.
The Cust board consists of five parent representatives, a staff representative, and the principal. Elections for parent reps are held every three years, with a new board elected in April 2019.
The current board (and their areas of responsibility TBC) are: Tracey George– board chair, documentation and self review Katie Croft – health and safety Sam Taylor– finance Penny Mehrtens– property Anna Riley - personnel Eddie Foskett – staff rep Robert Schuyt – principal, curriculum
The board meets twice per term at 7.00pm in the school staffroom, plus a few other times during the year to discuss key issues such as student achievement and strategic planning.

Cust is a Full Primary School located between Rangiora and Oxford and approximately 40 kms Northwest of Christchurch. The school has an approximate roll of 160 pupils and staffing of 7 teachers. Cust School is a Decile 10 school.
