The Cust School Board of Trustees is responsible for the governance of the school – which means setting general policy, aims, and targets; monitoring progress, and allocating resources to allow our staff to get the job done. Its not the board’s job to be involved in the day to day running of the school, but to provide overall direction.
The Cust board consists of five parent representatives, a staff representative, and the principal. Elections for parent reps are held every three years, with a new board elected in August 2022.
The current board (and their areas of responsibility TBC) are: Tracey George– board chair, documentation and self review Sarah McAllister – health and safety Sam Taylor– finance Luke Thompson – property Anna Riley - personnel Shannon McLeod – staff rep Robert Schuyt – principal, curriculum
The board meets twice per term at 7.00pm in the school staffroom, plus a few other times during the year to discuss key issues such as student achievement and strategic planning.
