The Cust School Board of Trustees is responsible for the governance of the school – which means setting general policy, aims, and targets; monitoring progress, and allocating resources to allow our staff to get the job done. Its not the board’s job to be involved in the day to day running of the school, but to provide overall direction.
The Cust board consists of five parent representatives, a staff representative, and the principal. Elections for parent reps are held every three years, with a new board elected in April 2013.
The current board (and their areas of responsibility) are:
Tim Heidmann – board chair, documentation and self review Anna Letton – finance Andrew Frost – property Kate Powell – health and safety Katie Croft - personnel Eddie Foskett – staff rep Robert Schuyt – principal, curriculum Jennifer Thompson – board secretary
The board meets twice per term at 7.30pm in the school staffroom, plus a few other times during the year to discuss key issues such as student achievement and strategic planning.
If you want to bring any matters to the board’s attention, or just want to have a chat about the school, feel free to contact any board member, or come along to a board meeting.
