As part of our new writing initiative here is a short letter written by Will Chapman.

I’ve been standing here for over 150 years. I’ve seen millions of children come past me and even some go on top of me. I let the birds make nests and sit on me. Two days ago two little baby green spotted bellbirds were born. I got to see the mother feed them their worms. I have to hold up a huge tyre bridge. It hurts when Room One goes on it. The tyre bridge holds my trunk and squeezes it all day long.
